journey to South Africa.

yes, long cherished dreams has come to be true at last. I have been in Vasai for a month and there was a phone call, telling me my visa has come.

I just did not believe it to be true. I called the travel agent and he said yes, there was a phone call from Delhi telling about it. But for the time being things have not reached in his hand. In two days I was convinced that visa have arrived. So I had to leave Vasai soon to take a week of holidays and then to follow to South Africa. So I left Vasai and came to seminary. The travelling was good. Because I got a ticket to come by the Durando express. This is a new train that is running between Mumbai and Ernakulum. This has no stop in between. The train is new and that has good service and it’s fully air conditioned. I was in the seminary for the night. Early morning at 5 there is a bus that’s going to Trivandrum. So I got into it and reached home. As I was at home, there comes a call from my parish priest, that on the next day there a tour to Kanyakumary, the most south of India.  The picnic was very good, there were children, parents and sisters and we two priests. After the picnic two or three days at home. On 14th I left for seminary. I had to visit one convent where I was going every month to hear the confession. I also had to visit some families in Ezhupunna where I was celebrating Eucharistic celebration on Sundays. So the night was busy. On 15th morning I left for Aluva with some of our scjs from Kumbalanghy. Some hours in Aluva and then to airport. There was deacon Jayaraj with me, who was also coming to South Africa. So we fly from Cochin to Mumbai . In Mumbai we had to wait long for the next flight. In the night 2.15 was our flight from Mumbai to Johannesburg, long hours of journey. I was really sleepy that I slept like anything in the flight. After reaching in Johannesburg I had to wait for a long time there again. In the afternoon I had next flight to bloefountain. As reach there in the airport, fr. Provincial was there waiting for me. The travelling from there to the provincial house was very long. Something like 200 kilometers. In between this 200 kilometers, there were just two small towns. These towns are nothing comparing to the towns in India. Because some five or six shops and one petrol pump makes a town. I just cannot imagine this to be a town. We reached home safe.  Now last two days I am here. Just adjusting myself and get at home here. Soon there would begin some classes on isiXhosa.
