To all my Hindu brethren in Orissa

To all my Hindu brethren in Orissa and all over India…….

These days, after the brutal murder of Fr. Peter from Vasai, Mumbai, and the following thought have been in my mind. In the beginning of 2009, swami Laxman was killed in Orissa and the fanatic Hindus were accusing Christians for the murder of the swami. What all the things that they have done against Christians in Orissa? How many of them were killed in Orissa? Catholic priests were murdered, nun was raped, houses burned, ladies and children were thrown out of their basic life. How many children are still outside of their play ground and school? How many of them are still not able to go back to their families and home back. Still thousands are in camps. All happened for just telling that the swami was killed by Christians. Though it was very clear that the murder of the swami was by Maoist of the area. And even later some of them were caught by the police. Still the persecution of the innocent Christians continued still continues.

Here in Mumbai, an innocent priest was killed; there was not even a simple protest rally for asking his murderers. No Christians have accused any other religions or religious people or politics or anything. But hope that the culprits would be brought to justice and law.

This is the message of Christianity. Of Love and forgiveness. From the beginning of the incident I prayed that no Christian would accuse anyone or would take law into hands. But two incidents have changed my mind of ideas of religion. Really and clearly I understand when ST. John asks this, that “HOW CAN ONE LOVE GOD WHOM ONE CAN’T SEE, WHILE ONE CAN’T LOVE HIS FELLOW BROTHER WHOM HE CAN SEE”

Any Hindu brethren who reads this, please feel free to comment on this………
