Independence Day.
On 15tth of august was the independence day of India . We had our Eucharistic celebration at 6 in the morning. We had hosting of the flag in our premise. We had breakfast and we were ready to leave for aluve for the feast of our founder. As communities, here in Kerala we get together every year. As we come to the road to get into the bus, the driver is in difficulty saying that he has not taken the document of the bus. So we had to wait sometime there for the document to be brought by the owner of the vehicle. In two hours, we were there in our philosophy house. We had our usual photo section, some snacks and we came to the study hall for the quiz competition. Our boys put up a very fight. I had prepared them, but they did not have much knowledge about things other than what I had taught them. Some questions where common or general, they were unaware about those questions. The day was very good. All the student, fathers, and brothers had to participate in or other programs.
The day was concluded by Eucharistic celebration. After the sermon, father district superior gave me the mission cross. Father Pedro was witness for the giving of the cross. One of the minor seminary students (Ajit) was the second witness. After the Eucharistic celebration, he came to ask me why he was asked to be the witness. Little fellow did not understand the meaning of that. I am happy that now I am officially given chance to go to South Africa for mission.
As we leave the place and were ready to get into the bus, the bus has some problems. It cannot be started. They go on trying about it but nothing is happening. We had to wait around two hours near the bus waiting for the bus to start. It is drizzling and we are standing on the roadside. Hm……….. I feel so bad about it.
