Home visit

On first of August, I visited my home. I had to go home with some special purposes. I went home because I had to get my birth certificate from the panchayath and I had to attend one wedding. Wedding of my brother in law’s brother. I started from seminary only in the afternoon because I had to go for Eucharistic celebration. Every Sunday I have to celebrate two Eucharist in two of the sub- stations here nearby Kumbalanghy, place is called Ezhupunna.   I reached home around 5 .30 in the evening. I sat in front of the TV for a long time watching all the Malayalam programs of Sunday. Then in the late evening, I went to wedding place. It was good celebrations in the evening.

On the following day, the wedding was in the nearby parish, st. Anthony’s parish, Kanjirakode that is our ferine parish. I blessed their marriage and another priests celebrated the Eucharist. It was wonderful.

The next day, first I went to the parish. In the parish baptism register, my birthday is given as 04-05-1980 whereas in the SSLC book as well as in the passport it is given as 31-05-1981. So what to do. From the parish I came to panchayath for the birth certificate and there too it is same as in the parish book. From the panchayath, they have asked me to undergo a long process of changing the birth date. It is frustrating. There need to be done a long processes and that looks big, which would consume lots of time and energy. So as soon as I came home, I thought of not staying there any longer. So after having my lunch, I left my home to seminary and came back to seminary around 7 in the evening.
