This is the community memebers of mine in the year of 2004-2005. Among this two brothers are for brotherhood and so they discountinued this school year. (2005-06)Relative End AND Absolute End.
As I was studying about Eschatology, there I came across the subject “End”. And the two divisions of End. The relative end and the absolute end.
As I was studying about Eschatology, there I came across the subject “End”. And the two divisions of End. The relative end and the absolute end.
so here I try to refelct about it in our present world and try to give you all a small taste of what I understand about "END"
And so just I was thinking about it. Almost all things on the earth have got this both ends. But how we are using this. All the using and used things have got this both ends. One is just leading to momentary end but the consequence of it leads to the absolute ends.
Just for example the education itself: - education has got this both ends. The absolute end is winning the exams and getting high marks and so on. And at the same time it is also leading to the absolute end, which is giving him or her a more moral life. And integral formation of oneself.
But very often what happens is that the relative ends becomes more of the absolute end itself. Or on the way to relative end we loose sight of the absolute end itself. It is something like that we go for hunting by taking the gun, but on the way we forget the hunting and end at cleaning the gun. Oh what a tragedy!!!! .
How we can keep this relative end and absolute end more unanimously? Only one thing is needed from our part and that is having the clear-cut aim of what we are doing. And if one has that he/ she does not have to worry. And hold into it and go and we will reach the both end.
Very often in the Indian situation what happens is that the pressure from the parents and authorities so much that the pupil forget or made to forget the absolute end. So much pressure for RANKS and HIGH GRADES that the children are made to concentrate only on the relative end. As a result of it, after the former education when they are in high levels of education the loose the morality and human dignity. And thus lots of distorted ideas of lie and no much aim for life. And so they end their life in “tragedy”. Children are seen as matters of privilege and matter of proud ness in getting high marks and thus the ornaments of the family or of the house or of the village and so on.
Just using the relative end as absolute end. So if we are going to ask a child anything that’s not taught in the classroom it becomes difficult “subject” to answer. And this they fell that they not enough to face the world. So why all these non-senses. Let the children know what is the idea of education and let them live a happy school days. Very recently I heard one the well priests in India saying that if he is going to get a new life and come on this earth he will not go to school. Why dear father? It because I am a good student in as far as I am able to get good marks in the class room, as far as I am able to get prizes in the competition. I am not valued as a person. So as an object I do not want be in a school. Y MY DEAR TEACHER U DO NOT SEE THAT I AM A GOOD STUDENT AS FAR AS I CAN DO WITH MY INTELLECT AND MIND. WHY DO U SEE ONLY THE “CAPCITIES AND TALENTS AS FAR MATTER OF PRODUCTION”. The cries of children resound in my air and ears. Please see the children as not mark getting production and small boxes of prizes. But much more the Lord has given them and I am sure that they can be a very good moral valuing persons and thus useful people of society. And if our society has such people they are the production of good teacher and of good schools- who do not just value people under the “marks and grades and prizes”. I hope that you all will agree with me for this.
Just one more thought about the absolute end itself.
Do you believe that you have reached the absolute end of your education? No my dear. You may be a “good man” or “good woman”. But only in sight of the absolute teacher that we can know how much goodness we gained or we are carrying within us and around us. Just one explanation of it will make things more clear. Have you seen “ good” or “goodness”? NO. Absolutely no one might have seen a “good person” or a “good life”. But no one has ever seen good as such. Only things in relation to good or to goodness. So we can see the good as such at the end of one’s life. And the absolute good is the Lord. And only thing what we can do is to cultivate that end. Only we can pray about getting more and more knowledge about how we can build up our capacities and talents. And only at the end by the vision of God we can know how much we have all these things. And we develop and build it up by our more of striving and practice. And above all this by the grace of God. And let us hold it up. And no loose the sight of the absolute reality and end.
