Picnic to Hydrabad.
On 26-10-2005 night 11 pm we started out picnic journey from our house. And a simple prayer by Bro. Dharma Raj. And Fr. Kus stared the bus and droved it until Vijay Wada. And then by our Driver Jar was. Hie are you all with us in our journey? In the morning 5.30 or at 6 am we reached in the Herald’s High School and we had our refreshing time. Had a very nice cool shower and then we proceeded to the chapel and had our Eucharistic celebration. Our Special guest Fr. Agus s scj presided over the Eucharist.
And at 8.30 we started our journey to the Ramaji Film city – which was our picnic’s spot for the day. And we reached at the right time in the city. Each one had to take 200 RS ticket to enter into the city. Then we all were taken into the city by their bus. From the entrance to the city it is some 5 or 6-kilometers distance, and it is a nice trip into the city. The city itself is consisted of some 2000 Akers of land and beautiful trip to the city. And when we reached the spot it was time of inauguration of the day’s program. The opening ceremony consisted of different Indian styles of dances and welcoming ceremony was so touching that we all rushed into inner parts.
The entire city is build of plaster of Paris, wood and mud. Actually if one sees it, one will not be able to believe it. Because it is so strong and beautiful. After we took another bus inside the city and they took us to another part of the city where there is different kinds of gardens are available. I mean to say different cultural gardens are there. Chinese, Indian, some European, and Egyptian styles are some of the examples to it. And they left us there after explaining about it. Then we started to other parts of the city where there are some 28 country’s style houses are available. Each house is very beautiful outside. Actually inside it is nothing but some bushes and some kinds of grass and things like that. The purposes of these houses are just for showing in the movies only. For example one house has four different faces. One face of the house is made like that of a railway station. Another part is made like airport and the 3rd part is made like a hospital. And the other is like a chapel. So in order to shoot a movie one does not have to run into 4 different locations. The guide was telling us that if the actor and actress and the director are matured enough, then one movie’s important parts could be shot within hours here by making use of different facilities available here.
Then at 1 PM we all gathered at the hotel and had our Chinese lunch. And it was something good to see some of the brothers joining with “Indonesian dishes”. (One day some of them may be in Indonesia and so this could be a taste before they proceed to Indonesia.)
Again we started our journey to circus land and it was very wonderful and lively to see some of the youngsters doing some wonderful circus program and it was one of the liveliest programs of the day. And then to magic city. A place of thrilling and devils and magic wonderful preparation. And it was very good. And then had some nice photo sections in different places. Wow. It was a grate day really.
In the evening when we were traveling back to the front side of the city we all were sad that we left the film city but beyond all that we all had a very big thanks in our hearts to the Lord for the wonderful day we had after a long time of studies and village experiences and exams. It was a very good way to relief us.
Then we preceded our journey to the real city of Hydrabad. It was very rush and busy street. I think this is the 2nd busiest city here in south India after Chennei. We visited the Birla Mandir – a Hindu Temple made in full marble. Unfortunately there was no permission to take photos. All the cameras were taken away from us and kept aside and so we were sad that we missed some of the beauty of India. And then we came to the city again. And were in the city waling and enjoying the city. It some thing like deevali (festival of light) everywhere. It was wonderful experience to see one of the biggest statues of Buddha in the world, there in the bank of water.
Wow all are tired of a long night journey and the busy day. Though we all enjoyed it fully. We started our journey back to our house. We had supper in a hotel. And very hot and nice chicken beriyani. All enjoyed and had a nice time. Then we started to travel back. Bros. Micheal Benedict, Vimal and Hurdy Raj and some times myself gave company to the driver that he may not sleep and we may not see heaven directly very soon.
