Independence day of India

And we celebrated the 59th independence of our nation.

Hello everyone it just say my reflection about 59th independence celebration of India. It was in the morning that I thought to make a reflection about it. It was a good day. I went from my room to chapel for my Morning Prayer and Adoration. And after I had a time for my meditation. And I took the bicycle and went to the road to see how people celebrate the independence of India. It was touching the day. I saw an old man carrying a big ladder for sale and a young girl standing by the roadside with some flowers for sale. And a young boy going about shouting, vegetables for sale. And lots of people walking in the road without a job. And lots of other things too. But we today celebrate the 59th independence of India.

How can we talk about it, when people are merely straggling for their daily bread? India of millions of people. Millions of workers of day and night. Thousands of beggars, lacks of woman and girl children sold in prostitution and people who are educated but no possibility of job. What independence are we celebrating? When the matter of independence of India in a seminary means, only one day of outing or going for a movie or something like that. At most a solemn Eucharist and a procession with Our Lady’s statue. And the day is over. But how much we speak of freedom and independence in our day today life.

And thus just go on looking around the place we are living it is hard to believe that India got independence. And we all preach and go on for rallies and dharnas and so on and so forth. But how far are the people who live with us can experience the freedom and independence that the Lord will give us. And I hope that, this would be the meaning of liberation and love in our world if other can feel the presence of God with us and that would mean the real meaning of real independence. And in to that freedom let my country and people grow. The prayer of Tagore resounds still in my air and mind.

Will my country and people grow to that freedom and integrity is my anxiety for my nation.
On the Independence Day the prime minister of our country promised the primary education to all children and medicine to be cheap for all. Will all these can make a real nation out of India is my question for my reflection and myself.
