Priestly Ordination

The 10th of May 2005 will remain as a very important day in the life of the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart here in India. The day was a very sunny day and very good. AT.3.30 in the Chapel of the Carmel Giri being full of people of God, Nuns, Priestsand religious Brothers and Arch Bishop Daniel Acharuparambil OCD for the acceptance of the deacons Mathew and Mcqueen. Both of them being ordained to Priesthood. The programs was began with the procession to the Alter and the The Eucharist was began under the guidance of the ARch Bishop.

In His speech He gave emphsis on the life of a priest. And the main words were all about " a Priest after the Heart of God". In the introduction he appoligised for not saying it in English. Most of the participants being from Kerala, he was speaking in Malayalam. And he was telling more about being a priest after the Heart of God. How important is being a priest in this difficult time of History. It is really hard, but you can be sure that the Lord who called is fathful and He will lead you. And only thing is that you need to be faithful to Him and the rest He will do.

I was wondering, because he was talking in the ways of Fr. Dehon, leaving the Alter inorder to encounter with the people. It is really touching. Or in His words it is importnat to make the Alter of God a way of encuntering the God in People and never its not a place for hiding. Really touching words.

And after that the candidates were called to the front of the Alter and they were examinend and then the Ordination to the PriestHood. And the Litiny of whole Angles to interceed for our Brothers.

And they were welcomed to the Table of God and the Eucharist Continous. And it was very touching moments of the Congregation. And then after the Eucharist all who were participated wished the newly ordained priests. And many of the Gifts were presented to them. And a very good tea break in the Refectory of the seminary.

And all were welcomed to Dehon Vidhya Sadan. And a very good Cultural programm and then many pariticipated in it. And at the end the delicious dinner. And how tastly it was. Still it remains in my heart- the prayers and good meal as well.
